Thundershirt is effectively a pressure wrap that applies gentle, constant pressure to the dog's torso. For many years pressure has been used to create a calming effect on the nervous system (just like swaddling a baby) by applying lateral pressure, the efficacy of which has been shown in many scientific research trials. Thundershirt has been shown to help dogs who are scared of thunder, fireworks or with any noise phobia & those suffering with crate or travel anxiety, separation anxiety, excitability, barking problems & has even shown great effectiveness in stopping pulling on-leash.
No training is required; each Thundershirt comes with simple instructions on how to effectively fit: simply wrap it around your dog's torso & secure in place using the Velcro straps around the torso and chest. Many owners see results the very first time. Some may require two to three usages to see results but full instructions on how to get the most from Thundershirt are included.
Thundershirt is made from a thin, washable and breathable fabric and as dogs keep themselves cool through their mouths & paws, hot summer days shouldn't be a problem. It works in 82% of dogs and comes with a 100% money-back guarantee which we are proud to honour: if you feel that Thundershirt doesn't work simply send back to us and we'll offer you a full refund.

"The Thundershirt made the difference he needed to not go completely out of his mind in kennels. Along with his behaviour programme it seemed to just take the edge of his stress and anxiety which meant we could then attempt to walk him with other dogs and help calm and socialise him a little. His new owners still have loads of work to do, but I feel that the Thundershirt played a very important part in helping his mental wellbeing whilst in our care." RSPCA Leeds and Wakefield
"We find that the Thundershirts are a great alternative to traditional medications used to treat anxiety in dogs. We have had success in almost every case that we have used Thundershirt and have had particularly good results with our own Westie, Holly. Thundershirt is not a miracle cure, but with the right perseverance the results can be astonishing!" Peter Culpin, Clinical Director of Pets Naturally
"We had spent about 9 weeks trying to persuade the pup to sleep downstairs in her crate or basket - DAP collars, DAP diffusers, DAP sprays, radio on, radio off etc etc no luck - she would go completely hysterical if left downstairs/not allowed in our room overnight. On the first night we put the Thundershirt on she slept downstairs voluntarily all night and we haven't seen her upstairs since... She goes in to work with us and would whine and complain when left in the office/staff room on her own, again whilst wearing the Thundershirt has settled much better..."
