Arrival and details for the day

There will be a 1 hour lunch break in the middle of the day and other short breaks throughout the day.

The seminar will take place in the main hall, please come straight in on arrival, where tea / coffee / biscuits will be available. Please feel free to bring your own reusable cup to help us save waste.​

Lunch

Lunch will be available to purchase from the venue,

* Sausage Bap or Bacon Bap £3.95
* Jacket potato with cheese (vegan where required) and Beans or Chilli or Coronation Chicken £5.25
* Sandwich with Soup or fries £5.75 (Fillings will be thick cut gammon ham or coronation chicken or cheese salad)
* Chicken burger with fries £6.75
* Vegan burger with fries £6.75
* Cheeseburger with fries £6.75
* Fries £2.75

Please text Jackie on 07967837754 with the date of the event, your name, your order for Tuesday, your order for Wednesday and any dietary requirements. You will need to pay for your order on the day directly to the venue. 

Parking

There is a car park at the venue. If you would like to find a lift-sharer, please contact us, so we can assist with connecting you with others.

Shop

Dog & Bone will have a stand with a few items for sale, we can accept payment by card, cash or cheque. We will also be welcoming www.margauxs.co.uk, please contact them directly if there are any items you would like them to bring for you to purchase. ​

Chairs and Tables

The chairs are wooden with padded cushions. If you might find these uncomfortable, please feel free to bring your own camping chair, cushion or blanket. We will not have space to put tables out, you might want to bring a clipboard or lap tray etc to lean on to make notes. 

Certificates

Certificates will be printed in the name of the booking unless we hear otherwise, please check your booking confirmation email and let us know before the event if this needs amending. If we are given less than 24 hours notice of a change to the name on the booking, we will be unable to provide a certificate.

Dogs

We will have specific demo dogs at this event and they may spend time in the room even if they are not working. Assistance dogs are welcome (with appropriate identifying jackets / leads please), but we are not able to accept other dogs at this event.  If you have a suitably modified vehicle where dogs can be left safely, you may leave dogs in your vehicle but it is essential that dogs are kept on lead at the venue at all times, that you clean up after them and attend to any dogs who are being noisy. Dogs must not be allowed to walk on the marked pitches. Ticket prices cannot be refunded if you have to leave the seminar to attend to distressed dogs. If you need to have dogs staying in your vehicle, please arrive early to get a suitable parking space.

Evening event

We are hosting a relaxed social at MALTONS RESTAURANT: Cambridge Road, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12 0ST - a 16 minute drive from the seminar venue. Those who want to join us can meet us any time after 5:30, for food at 7pm on Tuesday 19th. They are offering 2 courses for £30 or 3 courses for £35. You are welcome to join us for drinks without eating. The menu is at the bottom of this page. 

To order, please text Ali on 07836 288324, or you can email your order to ali@maltons.org with the date of the event, your name, whether you want 2 or 3 courses, your order, and any dietary requirements. You will need to pay directly to the venue on the evening.

We are unable to send digital copies of the power point presentation for this 2 day event, which consists of around 120 slides. We couldn't decide which sort of handout would be best for everyone, so we thought we'd give you the choice. 

 

Can you please let us know your preference out of A, B, C or D...
A) 2 slides to a page (larger slides, some space around the edge for notes)
B) 3 slides to a page (smaller slides - text just readable) with lined space for notes at the side of the slides
C) Dog & Bone notepad instead of printed notes
D) Nothing needed

FAQs

Q. If I can’t come, can someone else come in my place?

A. Yes, that’s fine, we just need their name and contact details before the event.

 

Q. Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

A. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance which can be used as evidence of CPD.

 

Q. Will I receive a printed ticket?

A. No, we have your name on our attendee list, just give your name on the door.

 

Q. Are refreshments included?

A. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits will be available. Please see your email for information about lunch at your event.

 

Q. What is the refund policy?

Q. Will the event be recorded / will photos be taken?

A. Photos and videos are often taken by Dog & Bone at their events, either for social media, advertising or for videos of the events. If you do not want to appear on any media, please let us know at the beginning of each day.
