"SEE THE DOG" with Suzanne Clothier: A Seminar That Truly Delivered

15 July 2025 – The Plough at Leigh, Hildenborough, Kent

There are seminars that teach—and then there are seminars that shift the way you see the world. “SEE THE DOG” with Suzanne Clothier was very much the latter.

Hosted in the charming setting of The Plough at Leigh, this one-day event brought together a passionate community of dog professionals, trainers, behaviourists, and curious dog lovers, all eager to dig deeper into the nuance of canine behaviour and relationship-based training. And Suzanne did not disappoint.

From the moment she stepped up, Suzanne Clothier reminded us why she’s earned such respect worldwide. Her delivery is refreshingly honest, grounded, and rich with both compassion and science. She has that rare ability to simplify the complex without dumbing it down, guiding us to see not just a dog, but the dog—who they are, what they need, and how we can meet them in that space.

A major highlight of the day was Suzanne’s exploration of her CARAT temperament assessment tool, helping attendees learn to observe dogs more clearly and without projection. Alongside this, her Elemental Questions framework provided a fresh, structured lens through which to approach behaviour issues—one that resonated deeply with those of us who value collaboration over coercion.

What made the seminar stand out, though, wasn’t just the information—it was the feeling in the room. You could sense lightbulbs going off left and right as people connected the dots in their own dog work — it was a room full of people feeling seen just as much as they were learning to truly see the dogs in front of them.

The day was beautifully supported by our helper team, thank you for helping us make these events possible.

If you’ve ever wanted to understand dogs on a deeper level, or to refine your skills in assessing and supporting behaviour with compassion and clarity, then events like this are gold. Suzanne Clothier’s approach is one that honours the dog, challenges the human (gently!), and uplifts the relationship between the two.

Missed this one? Keep an eye on our seminars page for future events—you won’t want to miss the next.
